Dr. Stanley Anak Suab is a seasoned expert in climate and sustainability issues, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer and Researcher at the Institute for Tropical Biology and Conservation (ITBC), Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). With over 12 years of professional experience in the geospatial industry and 7 years in academia, he specializes in applying geospatial technologies to promote sustainable resource management in agriculture, industrial decarbonisation, agroforestry, and carbon credit systems.
Dr. Stanley holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Environmental Science Development: Global Environmental Management from Hokkaido University, Japan, as well as a B.A. (Hons) in Geography from Universiti Malaysia Sabah. His research endeavors focus on the sustainable management of tropical forest ecosystems, plantations, and agricultural landscapes, emphasizing climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and tropical biological conservation.
A prolific contributor to the scientific community, Dr. Stanley's work has been published in numerous high-impact Q1 and Q2 journals, underscoring his dedication to scientific rigor and lifelong learning. His expertise in forest resource management, agriculture, and climate change strategies fuels innovative solutions to today’s most pressing environmental challenges, making him a vital asset in the pursuit of sustainable development.
